Elsewhen

It’s wrong, right,
what youngers do,
daynight.

But,
when I was then,
I did so
too.

Right it was,
then,
that when.

Stupid,
now,
I was.

Elastic stretches less
the more it’s overused.

There was once an excellent photograph interpretation of an earlier version of this poem by Lee Appleton, but it’s vanished from the net. Pity.
