Mrs A.G. Harris Penarth Glam Angleterre St. Gotthard 23 August 1948 This is the place we spent last night, & also tonight. It's the only habitation for miles, right on the top of the Gotthard Pass. Very much as in the photograph, with snow and clouds coming over all day long. We leave this lonely spot tomorrow for Giswil, I think. John Home early Monday morning. Don’t wait up! J.
