We visited the UK for Russ & Liz’s wedding, amongst other things. They’re both old political friends, my kind of age, who connected up a couple of years ago following the death of Liz’s first husband. We congratulate them for their marriage, and thank them for the reception.
A number of political friends of my generation came, from across the Western world. It was great to see them again. The fat people (hi!) are fatter, the funny people funnier, the eccentric less house trained, and all of us are older.
Before things kicked off, I took some photos of Bagnor’s colourful village green, which was wild enough to feel real, but kempt enough to allow the passing visitor easy photography. That tamed hint of the untamed was a good little place.
