Elite Dangerous

I funded the Elite:Dangerous kickstarter for entirely the wrong reasons:

• I want to put “Founder Member of the Elite” on my CV;
• Nostalgia is dangerous: I had a holiday job at Acorn in Cambridge back in the day;
• I successfully docked a craft in the original élite (ho ho) without crashing it, once.

The real reason I funded the kickstarter is that Elite was one of my generation’s cultural glories. I don’t want to see such standard candles lost, I want them to be celebrated.
