reflets

I’ve renamed reflets du moretti to reflets.

First of all, I came to realise that it was wrong to refer to the magnificent sculpture and the great French sculptor who created it. His piece has its own life that has nothing to do with me.

Secondly, I understood that the first order reflection in the title was more defined by place than content. La défense is a magnificent architectural triumph (philistines would disagree, of course). I’m not convinced that the kind of photographs I took there could have been taken anywhere else. Yet the place was not in the title.

Thirdly, the second order reflections in the piece have nothing to do with le moretti or la défense. They’re digital reflections created with the American software Studio Artist.

So in the end, I decided to simplify the title to reflets. I’ve kept the French, partially because of the origin, and partially because I associate the English word with literary tripe.
