Susan Connolly with Susan Lanigan
 
 
Susan Connolly lives in Drogheda, Co. Louth. Her first full-length collection For the Stranger was published by the Dedalus Press in 1993. Other short collections include her sequence Boann in How High the Moon (1991), Race to the Sea (1999) and Winterlight (2002). She was awarded the Patrick and Katherine Kavanagh Fellowship in Poetry in 2001. A 40 minute programme about her poetry Touched by Winterlight was broadcast on ABC National Radio (Australia) in October 2005. Her second collection Forest Music was published by Shearsman Books in 2009.
 
We will be introducing Susan Lanigan, who is a writer and a programmer. Twice shortlisted for the Hennessy New Irish Writing Award (2005 and 2009), she has had short fiction and poetry published in a variety of magazines. She graduated from an MA in Writing in NUI Galway in 2003 and now lives by the sea in Bray, Co Wicklow.
 
Dartmouth Square permits no alcohol. Tea and cakes will be available. This is an outdoor event, so please prepare accordingly.
