Introduction and Requirements

The Clock ActiveX control displays and inputs a time in analogue format.

The control requires Windows NT 4 (with Service Pack 3), Windows 95/98, or something more recent.

The clock control can be manipulated with the keyboard or the mouse.

Keyboard

The following keys are processed by the clock control:

A sets AM;
H adds one hour;
Shift H subtracts one minute;
M adds one hour;
Shift M subtracts one minute;
P sets PM;
S adds one second;
Shift S subtracts one second;
Control Z undoes the last change;

Down Arrow subtracts one minute;
Shift Down Arrow subtracts one second;
Control Down Arrow subtracts one hour;
Left Arrow and Minus act in the same way as Down Arrow;
Page Up and Divide subtract one hour;

Right Arrow adds one minute;
Shift Right Arrow adds one second;
Control Right Arrow adds one hour;
Up Arrow and Plus act in the same way as Right Arrow;
Page Down and Multiply add one hour;

Mouse

The following actions can be performed with the mouse:

The tips of each hand can be dragged to change the time;
The AM/PM symbol can be clicked to swap morning with afternoon, and vice versa;
The mouse button can be pressed on the winder to move the hands backwards (top half) or forwards (bottom half).

Registering the Control

The non-registered version shows www.cyberspace.co.uk, Cyberspace Services' Ltd. home page, on the clock face. In the registered version, developers can change this text.

The registered version costs $20.

We run a small Mailing List dedicated to our ActiveX controls. You can join by by completing our Mailing List Form, or by sending an email saying so. .

This mailing lists exists to enable:

developers to discuss our controls;
ourselves to monitor issues that may come up regarding our controls;
ourselves to inform developers and other interested parties when new controls and new versions of existing controls become available.
