I Saw A Sleek Seduction

I'm sorry I was late,
but I saw a sleek seduction
as I was drinking up.

He talked of manual work
and made it very clear
that he was rather fit.

She watched him with sly eyes,
and changed her tales to fit
his 'simple' expectations.

She sauntered on the bar,
was lounging to his class,
her elegance denied.

That's when I had to leave,
so I doubt I'll ever know
whether he succeeded.

it's my hands
my difficulty with melancholy
hence the coldness
fear in flight, god
