is so beyond realité
you must have drunk a brewers' dray!

Now I accept that many need
to dress to some internal creed,
or say the things they want to say,
or just because it's nice today.

But please accept I won't appear
at any place with rules on gear
I have to wear or leave behind:
I'm not the style McCarthy kind.

It shouldn't be a big surprise
if looking out with liberal eyes
(detesting any social schism)
to see dress codes as dress fascism.
