Scenes From A Blackpool Conference:
Exhausted

My friend,
exhausted,
her social enamel worn away,
too nice to snap,
too tired to listen,
too involved to stop.

All words and arguments
are sharp points of assault.
She no longer feels
this caressing friendship.
