Poetry is not about communicating emotion, it’s about being, for which emotion is merely an essential part.
I wrote the poetry sequence some years ago; I felt a weakness in modern English poetry.
Then I discovered now modernists, loved what I found, felt hippoesque agile. Poets like JH Prynne are creating new language, true new language, expressing the previously inexpressible. But, like any new language, you must effort, or stay empty as lazy entertainment.
