big town blues (xviii)
a large room

a large room
     for a small one
diminishing
the chair
     side–table
          two–bed

red bedcover
     yellow pillows
made grey
     by ancienting

feels of industrial dust
     old varnish floorboards
plain walls
     once cream blinds

the neighbour’s grey
     bushy moustache
still unshaven
     silver morning
          at 6pm

gorgeously foreign
     & local
were it not for the no cooker
     i’d live it
