either she’s an honest girl
and told me what she felt
not looking for love
or not with me

or she lied
wanting me to chase
to get her little thrill
at my pain
a user
she’d mess my head
that’s not for me

or she lied
to herself
wanting not
my lack of rude display
my emptiness of bling
or somesuch blind
she’ll mess herself
that’s not for me

i prefer to give the benefit
than think she lies
and if she does
thank god she did
