that cut has relaxed me
i’d held back
moving to this stage
for an event
and a responsibility
both history

cuts before
have relaxed me too
as though
i had bled
a lot of bile
reduced the pressure

but they’ve never been enough
i’ve always had to move some more
and this time too i expect
there’s still communication

i need to
really
move on
