the connection
is painful
but not doing it
is worse
normally
the image
the eye on the shape
of the landscape
takes me away
to performance land
for a while
until the tiredness
of seeing too much
senses a cease and desist
but it can’t
clear the sadness
behind the eyes
the loss
the necessary loss
but
all the same
