landscape
hundreds of fractal hills
surrounding and enclosing
small bright valleys
no real flow between

one imagines two ecologies
hardly connected
blocked by the immense cliffs

which i guess means no dinosaurs
sorry birds they’re called
just massive differently shaded trees
which have wiped their old enemy
the animal to history alone
a once dynamic now dead world
that will fall when its sun falls
forgotten unknown
betrayed by lack of biological adventure
