interesting
the games
are disappointing

i’d been
anticipating
playing them

again
after
a couple of years

no longer
got the cat
to terrify

but
although they play
although they absorb

they don’t
cheer me out
of my funk

except
i become lost
in them

but
what i miss
is that interaction

you know
boy girl
stuff

games
ain’t got that
though they try

music has
poetry has
even movies crudely have

but games
are
an active art

too young
to have it
worked out

or is the form
the interaction
difficult

the latter
perhaps

the writer
can’t control
the player

the player
can hardly
express

like evolution
and home counties man
