angst cycle (iii)
[ƽ] (i)

it looks like
a giant swelling
that glows slightly
inside

i mean
the shape is fine
nothing worrying
about that

i might be the edge
noticeably darker
as though it has a skin
a skin in trouble

is it the glowing
that gives the threatening air
the feel of risk
of danger

no
i think it’s the light itself
the relative strength
of brightness to dark edge

the way it lights
its own centre
a hardcore
a foul energy

it’s pure illusion
conceptual pareidolia
there was no seen thing
just a malign form

which was lost
after a moment
the wind as always
took it and reshaped it

turning it back into
just another lumpen
grey and white blob
above the city’s horizon
