specifications

introduction

These documents are copies of the original specifications.

They’re posted here because ssc often refers to the original specification by chapter number when it reports an issue. This is to help whoever reviews the report to check the analysed code against the original specification.

Unfortunately for me, many of these specifications are living, so frequently change: indeed, change far more frequently than I can update ssc itself. Thus, were ssc to refer to the current version of the specification by chapter number, and that number had changed, it’d would point to the wrong place. Hence, instead, it points to the copies here.

In other words, these copies are almost certainly outdated. I would strongly recommend that, if you want to check a specification, you check the current version at source.
